September's layout featured Basic Grey's Oliver collection- it's a fabulous, neutral layout in shades of red & blue. As you may have noticed, Mom & I take turns doing the 'original' layout and this time it was Mom's turn to follow the directions, and my turn to mix it up a bit. Here's Mom's layout- we used the sticker elements, tabs & stitched brads to add fun details to our page (and had lots of goodies left over, as always!). These pictures of my brother, Peter, when he was a toddler are a perfect fit for this layout!
We used a LOT of paper in the 'original' layout, so I had to make some major changes to the background of my layout. I pulled out some photos of ME as a baby and knew these were perfect when I noticed my grandparents all wearing shades of red & blue! I "girled" this page up a bit, switching die cut flowers for the stars, and since this layout features a longer title, I mixed my title up, combining the letter stickers with the QuicKutz Chickadee alphabet cut from coordinating patterned paper. There were plenty of embellishments left for me to work with, so I selected some border stickers, tabs & brads to finish it off!
... as always, I design a card to go with the layout using up some of our scraps! This one is a 5.5" square card with a fun frame sticker as the main attraction on it! I stamped a sentiment (Hero Arts) on a die cut circle cut from the white patterned paper & mounted it with foam squares for some dimension. We used a 'hi' stamp (also by HA) on the tab to add a fun detail.
... and that's our September POTM! Hope you like it!

They're not works of art, but they're quick, fun cards that will brighten someone's day & hopefully make them smile :)
I selected a few fun templates from the Silhouette online store and Joy picked this cute owl from them. The template was cut on the Silhouette out of vinyl, which worked like a dream- we just stuck the vinyl shapes to the pumpkin and cut around them! Here's how it turned out:
Apart from his wonky eyes (guess I stuck 'em on crooked!) I think he turned out pretty good for my first pumpkin carving in several years! Fun!
I'd love to hear about your pumpkin carving adventures this year, or any autumn creations you've made with the Silhouette Machine!

Next up is a card using the same image & paper collections- this time for my parents' anniversary! Still nuts about each other after 37 years... Good times :) Happy Anniversary, Mom & Dad!
This sentiment is on one of the sheets of paper (2 of the patterns we brought in have 6x6 patterns on the back- love that about We R Memory Keepers, you get your smaller patterns without buying a whole 6x6 pad!). My embellishments are by Making Memories- the glitzy brads are new and the paper leaves were in my stash :)
I used the latest Sketch For You to Try for my layout. I think I'll use this one again, it was fun to work with!

My fave is the cat- love her boots and the fab martini :) Here's the first page- which you can see parts of peeking through the front cover. I haven't added my 'top 10 list' yet, but I plan to! There's so many yummy autumn treats! I saw this saying used with the Frankenstein sticker on another project on the Cosmo Cricket blog and had to steal it :)
Here's some cards I put together quickly last night featuring the DeLovely collection- a few papers and the chipboard stickers. I just added a bit of ribbon, a couple Hero Arts stamps and the newest QK alphabet, Sketchbook, for the 'HI' card!
... and here's a couple cards we've had on display in the store featuring the Joyride collection. Carla had fun making up a whole pile of sweet cards a while ago and I'm not sure if they've ever been blogged ;)
And theres a LOT more Cosmo Cricket goodness in the store right now- all on sale this week! Come check it out!
I've got another card in the works with Annette (in elegant autumn colours) I hope to share with you soon. I'm thinking she'll be a lot of fun for Christmas, too!

Mom & I worked together to design these layouts which feature papers by Pink Paislee, 7gypsies & Jenni Bowlin. We used a fun mix of products & tools including the Silhouette with fuzzy vinyl, the Epic 6 with Tim Holtz/Sizzix dies, Smooch Spray on velvet leaves, decorative pins & more. I'm pretty pleased with how it came out... just wish I'd had prints of more recent photos to scrapbook :) These were taken for Mom & Dad's 35th anniversary two years ago (they celebrate 37 years this week)!

Both cards featuring the eclectic, vintage, funky feeling papers in the 'Restoration' line by Crate Paper. The mix of colours and patterns is a bit challenging for me to work with, but I really like the end result of both cards :)
First up I inked up my new Francesca stamp by Kraftin' Kimmie & paired her with the current Friday Sketchers layout (which Tanya was raving about when she was in the store on Friday- can't wait to see what she does with it!)
I added some fun Prima flowers (so fun that we could use a mix of colours!) and my current fave pearls. I also finally got around to using this fabulous banner die from QuicKutz (part of last year's Santa's workshop release!) with an Amuse sentiment! The cute little cupcake comes with Francesca, isn't it fun? Francesca is coloured with my Copic markers with touches of Spica and some Glossy Accents & Stickles on the cupcakes. I also added a generous amount of Pink Lipstick Distress Ink around the edges :)
Next up I used last week's Sketch Saturday layout (can't be on time for everything!) with my new coffee set by Whipper Snapper Designs. I absolutely LOVE this stamp and the options for colouring it... it took me a bit to decide what colour scheme to go with, but I figured since I already had Restoration all over the table (heehee) it was a good place to start!
I cut my image out with the QuicKutz nesting flower/wonky circles die. My sentiment is by Kraftin' Kimmie and was stamped on one of the coordinating stickers & a coordinating brad was added to the center of my largest flower.
Hope you like the cards & will play along with the new Friday Sketchers layout... it is pretty fabulous and I'd love to see what you do with it!

I matched Miles with adorable "Matilda" papers by Cosmo Cricket. I used my new Wonky Squares Spellbinders dies (actually, I used someone elses... can't find mine! Ugh!) and I also borrowed some of the new bat nesting dies- so fun! I had to use this sentiment, also by Kraftin' Kimmie with the image, so I also used some fun candy dies by QuicKutz to finish it off. I was actually considering gluing real candy corn to the card when I remembered I had these shapes already... never even opened the package, can you believe it? They're so cute!
My image is coloured with my Copics- I added a yellow 'glow' around Miles to show the moonlight shining on him . The entire card has touches of Spica glitter pen & Ranger's Crackle Accents- LOVE that stuff for a unique bit of shine!
... and it's pretty simple, but here's the inside of my card. Sentiments are by Hero Arts, I snipped 'trick or treat' a little bit to allow me to bend it to fit the shape of the wonky square.
I'm entering this card in Stamptacular Sundays Challenge to "Layer it on" and use 5 layers on a card (a big challenge for me, until I stopped trying to make them all FULL layers)!
Since I'm celebrating my very first Halloween card (and the arrival of new stamps!), this card also fits for Kraftin' Kimmie's challenge to make a celebration card!
I'm also entering it in the 365 cards challenge blog, which I found recently- this site is CRAZY as it offers a new challenge EVERY SINGLE DAY! I'm not sure if it's 'legal' but this card fits two days in a row, so I'm going for it there... Day 219: Candy Corn & Day 220: Color Scheme.
There was another challenge I was gonna enter it in too... something about using a pumpkin on your card? Anywho, can't find that info anywhere! If you know about a current pumpkin challenge, let me know and I'll add that to my list :)

If you just happened by this surprise blog hop, you can head over to see Janet, where it all begins. If you started there and came here via Teila- you've reached the end and I'm happy to share my card with ya :)
Perhaps you've noticed a bit of a theme in the cards you've seen so far... Cheri (aka Graphicat) loves cats, coffee and the colour PINK! I decided to challenge myself and combine the three on one card! Here it is:
and because this card is for Cheri, I had to decorate up the inside, too...
I recently downloaded the fabulous new software for the Silhouette machine, Silhouette Studio, so I had to do some cutting. I started with this fabulous coffee cup image & sized the cat shape to fit on it. I cut them both (plus a bunch of other fun shapes) out of white Neenah cardstock and inked them up! The mug was coloured with Antique Linen Distress Ink (I stamped the August SOTM in the same ink to create a subtle pattern) and the cat was coloured with my Copics.
I used last week's Mojo Monday sketch for this one. My papers are from the Pink Plum collection by Crate Paper & my sentiment stamp is one of Kimmie's Coffee Sayings (October's SOTM). Inside, you'll see a teeny Hero Arts stamp on a miniature coffee cup and one of the new Tim Holtz ticket stamps, with Cheri's birthday circled on it!
That's not all... Mom made this cute card for Cheri with lots of SPARKLE and some Spellbinder's dies!
Hope you like our cards & have enjoyed this blog hop! The only thing left for you to do now is hop on over and give Cheri your birthday wishes! If you're reading, Cheri, I hope the day is full of fun and surprises! It's the beginning of what is sure to be an amazing year :)

I'm a huge lover of coffee and have been collecting coffee stamps for a while, so this set will get used a LOT by me, I'm sure! Hopefully these cards will inspire you to make it a much loved, much used part of your stamp collection :)
This first card is a very simple one- I used the stamps to create a background paper by stamping them (ALL of them) in black on white cardstock. Then I spritzed it with my smooch over the stamping and let it dry... which didn't take very long! After that, I die cut the label shape and mounted it on some green Core'dinations cardstock, which I'd embossed and sanded. I added some simple accents of cork on the coffee cup sleeve and as a layer under my main sentiment. The coffee cup, embossing folder and label shape are all QuicKutz. My white flourish (the steam from my coffee!) is by Tim Holtz.
Carla made this sweet card with this new penguin stamp from Kraftin' Kimmie- it looks like that latte is loaded with whipped cream and ready to keep him warm on a cool day! Carla will have the deets up on her blog, so please go by and check it out!
Carla and I had a little play date last week when the Kraftin' Kimmie stamps arrived, and this is the card I made while she was working with the penguin! We both used papers from the fabulous Halloween in Wonderland collection by Graphic 45. I took the easy route and got my layout idea from a card featured on the Kraftin' Kimmie website. The smooch on my card is on the black & cream layers, it added a subtle shimmer without changing the colour too much, which I loved! I had fun colouring up Henri here, while he's enjoying his cup o' joe. That purple suit is definitely 'espresso-ing' something ;)
Here's a close up of the wave I added to the sentiment & you can see the shimmer on the layers a bit, too!
Here's my final card... a simple but fun coffee gift card holder! I paired the SOTM with this awesome coffee cup image by Hero Arts and a cute kraft envelope by Maya Road (which I spritzed with Smooch!). It is simply embellished with some lacy eyelet ribbon, glitter flouishes by Making Memories (which you've probably noticed on a lot of my projects lately- seriously love these things!) and pearls. I stamped the "Coffee tastes better with friends" greeting on some satin ribbon with Brilliance ink. My java jackets were stamped on a genuine Starbucks java jacket ;)
The background of my card was stamped with ALL the sentiments in this set- I mounted them all on EZ mount (they come as a sheet of rubber) then arranged them on an acrylic block, inked & stamped. There were a few spots that didn't stamp perfectly, so I chose individual sentiments to fill in those gaps. Here's a photo of my stamps inked & ready to go on my block- there are 14 fabulous coffee sayings in this set!
... and here's a peek at my envelope when it's open! I couldn't resist adding another sentiment on the inside of the flap :)
Hope you enjoyed our samples and will have fun with this set of sayings! I can't wait to see what images in your collection you use these with! It would be really fun to have y'all share some of them with us... let us know in the comments what you plan to create with this set of stamps!
