Manly Masterpieces Inspiration Hop

Welcome to the June SNS Inspiration Hop- our theme this month is Manly Masterpieces!

We've got some great masculine inspiration for you this month- cards perfect for Father's Day, birthdays or any variety of occasions you need a card for a guy!  Along with the hop, there's a SALE happening in the SNS online store- you can save 20% on a variety of products perfect For the Boys!

As always, please leave comments at each stop along the way!  Not only is it a huge encouragement to our team to hear from y'all, but it's also a chance to WIN a $50 GC for the online store! Who doesn't love a little shopping spree?

You should have arrived at my blog from Deepa and once you're done here you'll head to see what Tracey made!  Both ladies are constantly inspiring me, so I know they'll do the same for you!  The whole hop starts over at the Scrap 'N Stamp Blog, so if you want to start at the beginning head over there!

I had an idea of what I wanted to make for this hop, then the stamp set I wanted to use was on backorder so I started brainstorming with my plan B- these fun fish die cuts by Aall & Create!   My idea came together when we finally settled on the hop name "Manly Masterpieces" and I decided to use an Art Museum as my inspiration and make some mini masterpieces with these funky fish!

I used the little ornate frame from the new Vault Boutique Dies.  At a glance this whole set definitely feels feminine, but these frames are definitely museum worthy- especially after I cut them in black and brushed some Foundry Wax on them!

I went a bit abstract with the 'water' portion of my little art pieces, stamping one of the new Crochet Trims and adding washes of blue with a variety of Watercolor Distress Pencils.  I used some 3D foam squares to some items on my card for a bit of extra dimension & finished everything off with some Glossy Accents on the eyes for a bit more fun.

This card wouldn't be completed with a Dad-inspired pun... "Best Fishes for Father's Day!"  I may even pop it in the mail with some extra fish like confetti in the envelope since the package of die cuts comes with over 100 pieces.  LOL

If you enjoyed this hop, you're going to love the Instagram Hop we have coming up on Sunday!  Hope to see you there!

Inky hugs,
Tara

Love the fish. The black makes me think of the fish down deep. This looks like it could be a wall at a cabin.
