Welcome to the Scrap 'N Stamp April Inspiration Hop! Our theme this month is Bugs 'N Butterflies and you can bet there will be projects ranging from cute to elegant along the way... my cards probably falls somewhere in the middle, featuring a variety of Tim Holtz products!
You can find all the hop details on the Scrap 'N Stamp blog! Once again, we will be giving away a $50 gift certificate to the online store to one person, randomly selected, who leaves comments at the stops along the way!
If you're following the hop, you should be arriving here from Kate's YouTube page for a dose of cuteness! If you're not, why not!? The girls have some great inspiration for you! Next up, you'll hop on over to visit Kia to see her colorful project!
As I mentioned, my card features a variety of Tim Holtz products- the star of the show being a moth from the funky insects die set whom I've given golden wings to. I usually work with a black base when I'm playing with this set, but I thought it would be fun to use some scraps of a bold blue cardstock I had. I paired it with some die cut pieces inked up with Scorched Timber Distress as well.
My card background is a piece of Kraft I printed a swatch sheet on- did you know these were available to print on the Ranger Website? I was swatching the Watercolor Pencil Crayons and printed the wrong option (this is alphabetical, I wanted color order) so it occurred to me this would be a fun use for it!
I wanted to add some color along the left side of the card, so used a stencil that resembles color swatches and applied Prize Ribbon Distress Paint through it. While it was wet, I sprinkled a bit of Scorched Timber Embossing Glaze Powder onto it to add some extra texture & shine.
I finished everything off with a die cut sentiment, some stamping & a bunch of sequins!
I hope you like my card and find a bunch of inspiration from our hop!
Inky hugs,
Tara
p.s. don't forget- the next stop is Kia!
