I always have so much fun making Christmas cards out of non-Christmas stamps or dies, combining a 'regular' image with a Christmas sentiment is always a fun challenge for me!  When I chose to create with the papercut cafe dies by Tim Holtz again, it was too much fun to stop with one... so I'm sharing two cards for today's hop.

I've paired these little cuties with some Tim Holtz sentiments as well- these are from the mini bold tidings stamp set.

This first card features a stenciled background (you know I heart Distress Oxide on Kraft) but I can't confirm the color because I used a dirty blending brush.  It's a mix of Lost Shadow and some shade of blue!  It turned out pretty cool, so I actually did a do-over of my coffee cup to make the color work better.

I die cut with Stitched Rectangles on both cards to make easy layers & tie everything together.  Something about the stitches makes it feel a bit more cozy!

I almost gave up on this second card... I had some issues with my sentiment, which was originally done with Distress Embossing Glaze in Lost Shadow.  Then I painted the stamp with the same color of Distress Paint, and it smudged a bit, but I got a second opinion (thanks, mom!) & eventually decided it looked kinda frosty so maybe it was a keeper after all!

I love the subtle tint of Lost Shadow on the steam, and the Distress Spray Stain splatters on the white background!  Lumberjack plaid on my ribbon adds a regal burst of red, which really gives this card the festive vibes!

I hope you enjoyed my cards and have enjoyed the hop so far!  I know I've been inspired seeing these amazing makes!

Your final stop on the hop is next up... Hop on over to see TRACEY!

Inky hugs,
Tara
