Happy Tuesday!
I'm excited to share a card I made with the Fall Calls for Lattes stamp set by Catherine Pooler. I fell in love with it when I saw the first project with it and since there's so many great elements on it, you'll likely see me share several cards with it while autumn is still here!
I started with some simple stamping and coloring with my Copic markers. I stamped a bunch of mugs & elements and just started to play... these images are so much fun! After fussy cutting a few pieces, (the coordinating dies might be something I invest in soon!) I selected cardstock colors to work with.
I had already chosen a layout I wanted to use, inspired by a sketch I saw on Instagram by Freshly Made Sketches. I knew these small elements would be perfect framed on a die cut square! For my background layer, I pulled out a 'vintage' Tim Holtz embossing folder with simple leaf shapes. I embossed a Kraft panel then inked the edges with Ground Espresso Distress Ink. A hint of mica spray is a great touch, I love the gold on Kraft!
The rest is pretty self explanatory! I finished everything off with some foam squares for dimension and a touch of twine & bling for texture. Next up I need to get this in the mail to one of the many friends I miss having coffee with...
Inky hugs,
Tara
