Awesome!

 Happy Tuesday!  I hope your day is AWESOME!  I've been looking forward to playing with my new awesome stamp & die sets from Photo Play's Stay It With Stamps Line!  I'm primarily featuring the die on this card, but you see a small bit of the stamp set here as well.  There is a huge variety of sentiments in this set that lets you use the word for almost any occasion that calls for some awesome!

I really wanted to make an autumn card, but something about being a child/teen in the 80's took me in a different direction... I keep a pile of scraps and backgrounds that I've made to use for quick cards, and this crazy colorful one from some play with Dina Wakley Media Gloss Sprays felt very 80's awesome to me!  I used a bunch of colors, but I decided to bring focus on the deep night shade in the corner and use that for my die cuts & stamping.

I used VersaFine Clair in Twilight to stamp the sentiment and the background text behind the awesome die cut.  A leafy branch cut from that same deep blue shade anchors it all together, while filling in some white space in that inky background!

I finished everything off by edging the background piece with blue ink (I literally grabbed a blue inking tool and used what was on it... most likely Prize Ribbon Distress Ink) and mounting on a light Kraft background.  A bit of bling, including one a bit larger than I normally use, seemed to fit this bold but simple card design.
