What if you fly?

I had a chance to stop by I'm Impressed on Granville Island (Vancouver, BC) when I was home visiting Canada last month.  I normally stay clear of wood mounted stamps these days, though they are still one of my favourite things in the world!  I fell in love with this stamp by Impression Obsession and had to purchase it and make a project with it the first chance I got back home in North Carolina (yep- I'm lucky enough to call two places "home" these days!)
my project started with this background on two kraft tags primed with gesso.  I used the baby wipe technique, paints & stencils by Dina Wakley (and one stencil by Tim Holtz).  I blogged all about this project as a Tuesday with Tara post, so you can read all about it there.  I've had technical difficulties with images on mobile devices with that post, so hopefully the images here will work!
I wanted a bold yellow bee to go with my stamped sentiment, so mixed together modeling paste, acrylic paint and color burst and got some amazing bright yellow, even when dry!  Love it!  Here's the finished tag (I made two, but this is my fave!):
And here's another look at that gravity defying bee... love it!

Here's a few images of the other tag I made, using clear texture paste over a yellow bee that was part of my tag background.
