CC3C- First Challenge Accepted!

I'm excited to be playing along with the new Compendium of Curiosities 3 Challenge- the first one is using Tim's Paint Marbling technique!  I'm hoping I can find time/materials to play through them all... one every 2 weeks should be doable :) Extra motivation comes with the awesome prizes they are offering- this weeks' is from Inspiration Emporium- a $50 GC!  I'm pretty sure I could find a few things to spend that on... :)

So today I was playing with colours for a larger project I'm working on, and I think I'll keep playing because these went a bit muddy... After using the technique on my tags, I added a bit of background stamping before deciding on my layout and images for the finished project.  I wanted the background to shine, so I went with some simple black stamping using Archival ink.  The birds are a stamp by Memory Box and the sentiment is by Inkadinkado.  I added a bit of black soot distress stickles to them to add texture & finished it off with some crinkle ribbon I'd dyed previously and some paper flowers & bling I had in my stash!  It's a simple project, but it's done in time to meet the challenge LOL.  Hope you like it!  Here's a couple close ups!
