12 Tags of 2012 {October}

Yesterday was our October 12 Tags Drop In at the store and my group of 'regulars' was there to play with me after we did a fun Technique Tag class featuring Perfect Pearls!  Tim Holtz made a fabulous Halloween themed tag for October and shows a great technique for colouring his new Rock Candy Distress Dry Stickles- so much fun!  I decided to go with an Autumn theme for my tag this month- creating a background with Citrus, Stream & Espresso Paint Dabbers using Tim's technique.  I used my fave stamp from Tim's Mixed Media stamp set and the Tattered Leaves Bigz die for my glittery objects!  I finished it off with some of the new alpha tiles and some chit chat words, as well as lock & key embellishments from my stash.  (Bonus- this tag fits right in with our October photo inspiration challenge!  Check it out!)

I made a smaller (#5) tag as well that more closely followed the colours & concept from Tim's Halloween tag. I don't own much Halloween stuff, personally, but I borrowed a cobweb stamp, the skull & cross bones is from a set of pre-cut grungeboard, the ticket stamp from Tim's ticket stamp set and of course the chit chat stickers from the new seasonal chit chat set! I used the alpha parts to add the word 'boo' to my tag.  Thanks to Tim for the fabulous inspiration again this month!
