It's a new month, which means we've got a new Stamp of the Month to share with you!
The Williams Lake Stampede has been happening for 86 years, I've been running our SOTM program for more than 8 years now... and this is the first time I have ever chosen a western stamp for this program! I've always hesitated, knowing that not everyone in town is a fan of stampede related stuff... but this year, both Sarah & I fell in love with the Wild West set of stamps designed by Tim Holtz! Since this was not a typical theme that either of us went for, we figured that maybe some of you would learn to love these stamps as well! We both had a great time making cards with these images, so I hope they inspire you! These images are fantastic for masculine cards, as you'll see... but they can be used for so much more than that! Our colour palette came from the 'Cowboy Up' paper collection by Best Creation, which we've used on all our cards.
Here's a closer look at the two cards that our fabulous DT member, Sarah created! I love the saying she added to the first one:
Here's a closer look at the cards that I (Tara) created:
The tag was inked up with Distress Stains, the saloon stamped with brown Archival ink. The die cut letters are a TH alphabet, covered with Crackle Accents. Here's the inside of the card. The sentiment was printed directly on a tag.
I think I'll be able to use this a lot! I make cards all the time, yet I constantly miss sending out birthday cards on time! What's up with that?
My second card is on a kraft background, stamped with a great woodgrain stamp by Impression Obsession. Everything else is from the SOTM! My image was stamped with Archival on kraft and coloured with Distress Markers.
So, what do you think? Does it make you wanna make a card for a cowboy? Hope so! I can't wait to see what you create with these fabulous stamps!

Love the softness to them, even though the images are more masculine
