Today we're celebrating that it's Sarah's (one of our amazing Design Team members) birthday! We've organized a little blog hop in her honour, featuring the cards we've made for her! If you've already been hopping, you arrived here via Carla... if not, just keep going and you'll get to her eventually! We're 'looping' through instead of having an official beginning and end!
My card features some fun new stamps from Hero Arts together with Basic Grey's Pyrus collection, a QuicKutz/Lifestyle Crafts die, gears from 7gypsies and from Tim Holtz, who Sarah and I both adore, I've used lots of Distress Ink and some tissue tape!
I wasn't sure if my mojo was going to show up in time for me to get this card done, so I turned to Mojo Monday for some inspiration! I knew I wanted to use these new stamps, so I was thrilled when this week's sketch fit them so well :) Here's my take on the sketch and my birthday wishes for Sarah- hope you have a great day, girl! I'm looking forward to playing with you at our day crop on Saturday! (There's still room for more to join us- 11am-7pm!)
So when I told Mom (Julie) that I finally had an idea for my card, she mentioned that she'd been looking around online and had planned to use... get this... the current Mojo Monday sketch for her card! LOL. So, Mom has turned the sketch on it's side to fit the birdhouse & bird die from Tim Holtz. She's used it together with some QuicKutz shapes and a sentiment from Amuse. The papers are random ones she found in our stash (heehee) she was going with a monochromatic color scheme, a la Cute Card Thursday!
Check out the awesome shimmer on the birdhouse! Mom sprayed it with new Maya Mist called "Antique Silver" which has a fabulous brown base to it... so pretty!
Now continue hopping on over to Tanya's blog! Happy Birthday Sarah- hope it's full of wonderful surprises!
