SNS Anything But A Card Hop!

Welcome & thanks for joining us for the Scrap 'N Stamp October Hop, today our theme is "Anything but a Card" and I chose to make a fun Halloween garland!

As always, we're giving away a $50 gift certificate to one person who leaves a comment on posts along the way!  Each comment gives you another chance to win & the winner will be randomly selected and posted on the SNS blog on October 29!

There's also a fun sale if you feel like shopping (heehee) with a bunch of faBOOlous Halloween products 25% off!

Here's what my garland looks like hanging on my mantle!

Here's another shot.  It's a bit smaller than what I normally hang, but that's okay because I'm planning to bring it to work to decorate my office!

I alternated die cut Witches Hats & circles, which I decorated with stamped sentiments and die cuts from Tim Holtz's Vault Gothic Portraits die set.  For a fun bit of texture, I hung the pieces from some Tim Holtz Mummy Cloth. I chose to work with black card stock and glossy black accents, adding punches of color with Foil Card stock by Prism Studio (Amethyst & Copper).  The green is from a scrap I had spritzed up with Dina Wakely's Lime Gloss Spray- it definitely photographs the best!

Here's some hanging shots of the pieces!  I've got some flat lay photos as well, which I will share on my Instagram page, if you'd like another look!

Other details- the stamps are Sassy Pants Spooktacular by MFT, which I stamped with Distress Oxide Inks. I sandwiched the hats around the mummy cloth (cut two, one front & one back) and I cut smaller die cut circles to hold those pieces to it.  It was a fun little project, I hope it inspires you to think out of the box with your supplies!

The full list of hop links is up on the SNS blog- happy hopping!  Next up is the talented Tracey!

Inky hugs,

Tara

Hi Tara. I love your fireplace display. These decorations are very creative. I love your treat bags from last year too. The kitties on them are just so cute.
