Sweet November Inspiration Hop!

Wishing you High Tides & Good Vibes!

Happy August & welcome to the Scrap 'N Stamp Sweet November Inspiration Hop!  We are celebrating the new addition of Sweet November Stamps to the SNS online store with our hop this month!  There is a nice variety of super cute designs in the shop- they are NOT all mermaids, but based on the sneak peeks I saw before the hop I think a lot of us were drawn to those images this month!

If you came directly to my blog, please stop by the SNS blog to get the full list of links so you don't miss out on any of the awesome inspiration!  I'm the final stop this month, so if you went through the entire hop, you've reached the end!  Please leave a comment for one more chance to win the $50 gift certificate!
While supplies last... you can get a FREE stamp with your purchase this weekend!  Details are below, but she's really cute!  Happy Shopping!

For my card, I chose Skipper to have some inky fun with!  Turns out she is a Limited Edition stamp that will not be restocked when it sells out- I think she's pretty cute, so if you like her you should probably snatch one up!

I pulled out my Copic Markers for this card.  They've been in storage almost two years and I'm definitely feeling a bit rusty... but I did have fun coloring her!  As I typically do, especially with Copics, I colored two images almost the same.  (I went a different directly with the background on the other one.  I'll share the second card soon!). On today's card, I tried to create a little sunset on the beach scene.  It's simple, but I think you get the right vibe!

I used a bit of washi tape to mask over her face before spritzing the image with some blue Distress Spritz.  As you can see I also added some shimmer to her tail (which if I'm honest, looks pretty awful from some angles and hides the coloring which I actually really liked!).  I spritzed some yellow on my craft sheet and painted with it onto her tail & seashells.  It worked really well, but I made the mistake of adding a second layer, which was a bit overpowering.    Still a fun idea though and a great alternate use of the Distress Spritz!

I hope you enjoyed my card and the hop!  Have fun shopping the new arrivals, especially Sweet November Stamps!

Inky hugs,
Tara
