Happy New Year! We are so excited to have you join us for our first Inspiration Hop of 2024! The Scrap 'N Stamp Dimensional Designs Inspiration Hop this weekend celebrates the fun of handmade valentine with a 3D twist. Each stop along the way will show you a new design to inspire you as you prepare to make your own thoughtful & unique valentines for friends & loved ones.
I've got a fun pyramid card to share with you today- it's a new one for me that I look forward to sharing a little tutorial on with you in one of my Thursday night Facebook Lives (yes, I'm going to start again!) this month!
As always we’ll be giving away a $50 Gift Certificate to one lucky person who leaves a comment along the way. Every stop is another chance to win, so please share the love with each of the talented makers! We will announce the winner on the SNS blog at the end of the month!
As I mentioned, a pyramid card is a new one for me- I saw one and had to try it, so I looked up a few different tutorials and then gave it my own twist (kinda how I do recipes. LOL). As I mentioned, I'll be sharing a tutorial on Facebook LIVE on the SNS page next week but I also have a short reel on my Facebook & Instagram pages so you can see all angles of it!
I kept the decorating pretty simple on this one because I didn't want to distract from the design and I also didn't want to cover up the paper I stenciled! I started with a
vintage letter print from the new 6x6 pad by IO and layered on the
Puppy Love Layering Stencil by Taylored Expressions. I was excited to use this set, which is two pieces that work beautifully together. I chose to use Distress Oxide Inks because the patterned paper has a slightly glossy coating on it that I knew regular Distress Ink would not work on.
I die cut some of the
Prism Nesting Hearts (I've been needing hearts for a while and was so happy to see these in the store! They are a great price, but even better that they are on sale right now!) from scraps I had on my workspace. The card still seemed to be missing something, and bling was not doing the trick for me this time (so weird, it is almost always the right finishing choice!) so I
die cut the word 'hugs' from some
brushed gold foil cardstock, and a tiny heart as well for my finishing touches!
This is one of those fun cards that will look so pretty on display, but also folds down flat for mailing. It's not so pretty that way, so I'm skipping sharing the photo here- you'll have to join me on FB LIVE to see that :) (watch for details on the
SNS Facebook page)
Thanks for hanging in there through this post... I'm sure you're ready for some more inspiration and
Meghan has some adorable makes to share with you! Happy Hopping!
Inky hugs,
Tara
