Watercolor Smiles

Here's a card that I hope will make you smile... it made me smile when I made it and it still does the trick today as I blog about it!  I was inspired by the Hip on Handwriting Challenge on the Moxie Fab World blog and decided to try handwriting a resist on some watercolor paper.  For this card, I used Ranger's Matte Accents, but Glossy Accents would work just as well.  I chose to write out a few different pieces and let it dry overnight before adding my watercolor details!  (I practiced on several scraps of paper before coming up with this one.  A clear embossed stamped image would work great too!)
My watercolor background is all about Distress Ink- a combo of Distress markers & a wet paintbrush, as well as a stencil & blending tool and a fabulous background stamp.  I had fun with the mix of textures here and kept it really simple by adding a ribbon, flowers & bling!  Here's a couple of close ups to check out!

I'm thinking a variation on this card will be part of an upcoming class I'll be teaching... watch for details coming soon!
