The second CC3C Challenge theme is Distress Glitter, so I found a few pieces to coat in glitter and made this tag so I could play along :) I kept my tag pretty simple, after glittering up the wooden airplane (prima) I knew I had a look through my Tim Holtz stamp binders and found this one I hadn't even inked up yet! I stamped it with Potting Soil Archival ink and used Distress Ink over it to create my background. A bit of washi and some brads, together with the glittery shapes and a crackled heart are all I needed for this tag!
I outlined some words with a black pen and added Crackle Accents over the word 'journey'
I couldn't resist adding this hat brad to my heart! The crackle heart was metallic Distress Crackle Paint with Archival Ink over it.
This buckle (a bonus in my package from Tim & Mario with my CC3 book!) and some twill tape I inked with Distress finish off the tag. I love how easy this was to attach to the tag, and how it looks like a luggage tag now! So fun!
Here's another look at the full tag, with the full twill tape loop in the photo. Fun, right?
I love these Compendium of Curiosities challenges and how they stretch me to create something new! This challenge is sponsored by the Funkie Junkie Boutique and some lucky participant will get a $25 GC from them :) Plus someone who creates something amazing will get a goodie pack of TH stuff- fabulous! Win or not, it was great to play along though! Leave me a comment if you are playing too and I will pop over to see what you made!
