May Challenge: Let's Party!

It's time for a new Challenge here at Creative Accents and we're looking forward to seeing what you do with this one- the theme is "Let's Party"!
This month, we challenge you to create a card, scrapbook page or paper crafted item with a PARTY theme! Feel free to join us if you project celebrates a wedding, birthday, anniversary or holiday of any sort. If there's partying or celebrating involved, it fits right in! All the details (including how to enter) can be found on our Challenge blog! Hope you'll play along this month!

With our annual FIESTA happening this weekend, I took the opportunity to multi-task with this challenge... cuz if the Fiesta isn't a party, I don't know what it is :) I'll be sharing my entries in two parts (and part two was a combined effort between Mom & I!)... starting with part 1 today!

So, here's part one of my challenge entry! This layout is actually going to be a class at the Fiesta and it uses a variety of items that are included in our Fiesta guest's goodie bags! As we were looking for photos to fit the layout, Mom found these fun ones of us together at her 23rd birthday party! She was pregnant with my brother at the time and it looks like a fun family gathering with members of both sides of the family!
Cardstock: Bazzill smoothie
Paper: My Mind's Eye
Embellishments: Die Cuts, Butterflies, Pins & Chipboard letters from Maya Road
Die Cut Borders: Lifestyle Crafts
Embossing Folder (on butterflies): Tim Holtz/Sizzix
Stamps: My Mind's Eye

I used a great sketch I found online... you can see it and a bunch of other good ones here. The chipboard letters were sprayed with a combo of Maya Mist and Perfect Pearls Mist- love them together!
