This weekend I had a chance to play and I created what may possibly be the first Halloween card I've ever made. I don't know if it's because so many of my design team members are obsessed with Halloween OR just because this new stamp by Kraftin' Kimmie is so stinkin' cute, but I had to play!
I matched Miles with adorable "Matilda" papers by Cosmo Cricket. I used my new Wonky Squares Spellbinders dies (actually, I used someone elses... can't find mine! Ugh!) and I also borrowed some of the new bat nesting dies- so fun! I had to use this sentiment, also by Kraftin' Kimmie with the image, so I also used some fun candy dies by QuicKutz to finish it off. I was actually considering gluing real candy corn to the card when I remembered I had these shapes already... never even opened the package, can you believe it? They're so cute!
My image is coloured with my Copics- I added a yellow 'glow' around Miles to show the moonlight shining on him . The entire card has touches of Spica glitter pen & Ranger's Crackle Accents- LOVE that stuff for a unique bit of shine!
... and it's pretty simple, but here's the inside of my card. Sentiments are by Hero Arts, I snipped 'trick or treat' a little bit to allow me to bend it to fit the shape of the wonky square.
I'm entering this card in Stamptacular Sundays Challenge to "Layer it on" and use 5 layers on a card (a big challenge for me, until I stopped trying to make them all FULL layers)!
Since I'm celebrating my very first Halloween card (and the arrival of new stamps!), this card also fits for Kraftin' Kimmie's challenge to make a celebration card!
I'm also entering it in the 365 cards challenge blog, which I found recently- this site is CRAZY as it offers a new challenge EVERY SINGLE DAY! I'm not sure if it's 'legal' but this card fits two days in a row, so I'm going for it there... Day 219: Candy Corn & Day 220: Color Scheme.
There was another challenge I was gonna enter it in too... something about using a pumpkin on your card? Anywho, can't find that info anywhere! If you know about a current pumpkin challenge, let me know and I'll add that to my list :)
