SNS Hop- Bags, Tags & Gift Wrap!

Brown paper packages, tied up with string... these are a few of my favorite things!

My very first project with rubber stamps was back in the early 90's when I decided to hand stamp my Christmas gift wrap.  It was the beginning of my love for making projects with stamps & Kraft paper that still continues today!   I know I'm like many of you in that I don't do a lot of actual wrapping of gifts- gift bags are just too handy!  I absolutely love making tags though and often add one to a gift that is unwrapped or in a store bought gift bag.

I hope today's hop with Scrap 'N Stamp will inspire you to pull out your paper crafting products to add a fun personal touch to your gift giving this holiday season!

All the hop details are on the SNS blog, including details about our giveaway!   Be sure to leave comments along the way for your chance to win a $50 gift certificate to the online store!

The first photo I shared is a simple gift wrap & tag I stamped- which ended up being very hard to photograph, but I think you get the idea!  I used the Home For Christmas stamp set by Tim Holtz with red, green & black Distress Oxide Ink.  The images & sentiments are very traditional designs perfect for a project like this!

It's not for Christmas, but here's a tag I made to tie onto our grandson Shyloe's birthday gift earlier this week!  I used papers from a 6x6 Winnie the Pooh paper pad and die cuts for this little project, which tied in nicely with his new red Radio Flyer scooter :)

I also want to share another project from a few years ago, since I really loved how it turned out.  (Plus the photos are a lot better!) Once again I stamped on Kraft, but this time I used a gift bag.

I started with a medium sized Kraft gift bag and stamped a branch with berries from Tim Holtz's Sketch Greenery stamps & I've paired it with some greenery & berries from his Festive Bouquet die and I really love how well they work together!  Since I created this project as a bit of a throwback, I also added a sweet gold embossed sentiment by Anita Jeram.  Here's a look at the full bag, tissue and all!

and here's a close up of the tag... I'm just thrilled with how well the leaves & berries from the Festive Bouquet dies pair with this stamp, which is one of my faves from the Sketch Greenery set.

I hope you enjoyed the hop!  As of now, it looks like I am the final stop along the way!  I hope you enjoyed everyone's projects!  If you are starting with me, be sure to hop over to the SNS blog for the rest of the links & more fabulous inspiration from the girls!

Inky hugs,
Tara
