Tongue-in-Cheek SNS Blog Hop

It's time for another blog hop with SNS and I'm so glad you've joined us!  Today we're sharing card's inspired by Dad (and dad jokes!) with some fun tongue-in-cheek sentiments or punny jokes that are perfect for all the guys in your life!

All the fun details can be found over on the SNS Blog, where everything begins today!  But I've got to mention that as always, there's a prize to be won!  Leave comments at all the stops along the way and you'll be entered for a chance to win a $50 GC to the SNS online store!  Yay for free crafty shopping!

You should be arriving here via Deepa's blog, where I know you saw a fabulous card!   You've actually reached the last blog on this hop, but if you visit SNS on Instagram (and others, like me, too!) you'll have even more chances to win!

I went ultra simple with my card, which features a cute stamp set with a great pun called "Tool Time" by Sunny Studio.  This is my first purchase from this company and it's pretty perfect!  Coordinating dies are available as well if you want to kick things up a notch!

I stamped the saw image randomly on a Kraft card base in dark brown ink. I then filled in the empty spots with the hammer & nail stamps in a different shade of dark brown ink.  Turns out you can't really tell the difference, but I guess that was part of the experiment. LOL.   I used a pre-printed tag from my stash as the base for my focal point, simply stamping the saw & sentiment on it.  The word "saw" is a separate stamp, so I chose to arrange it at an angle to maximize the effect of the pun!  I did some simple coloring with Distress Watercolor Pencils and then mounted the tag onto some blue card stock for a little pop of color.

The pre-printed tag really helped the simple images pop, and I love stamping smaller images repeatedly as a background!  It's a very simple card that you could put together quickly, but I think Dad would still appreciate it!

Thanks for hopping with us!  Don't forget to leave comments along the way for your chance to win- we love the feedback :)

Inky hugs,
Tara

Your card is definitely masculine marvelous! The random saws background is cool; perfect for that cool ruler, patterned paper, single saw and sentiment tag!
