Of course, it wouldn't be a hop weekend without a SALE- and even more fun, we're celebrating National Scrapbook Day this weekend as well! Visit the SNS online store for special savings 30%-50% off- and visit me on Facebook on Saturday for a special Crafty Live where I'll walk you through how I made the card I'm about to share with you!

My card features a gorgeous set of Hero Arts Looking Glass dies called Bee & Flowers.  I've intentionally tried to keep my card very simple so the dies are the star of the show!  I paired it with a gorgeous sentiment from the "Sunkissed Wishes" stamp set by Crafter's Companion and kept everything but the dies  in simple black & white.

My card is a mini slimline size- 3.5x6.5" total, with a stitched layer cut with a stackable Lawn Fawn die. I built the card from the front layer back, starting by placing and cutting the bee die layer within that stitched panel.

On another scrap I cut the sunflower die panel from white paper and lastly I positioned the leaves to cut from the folded card base.  I colored the layers with a mix of Distress Inks & Watercolor Pencils and added black details to the bee with a marker.   I also added a touch of glitter to the bee wings for a bit of bling.  Inside the card, I adhered a square panel I blended blue Distress Watercolor Pencils onto.

I'd forgotten how difficult it can be photographing/editing white cards, so I apologize for the blue hue in my photos!  It's something I will continue to practice.

As I mentioned, we're hopping a little bit differently this month, using a link party!  All the links are listed below, simply click each link you want to visit & leave comments along the way for all the chances to win!
