Let's Party Challenge: Fiesta Decor

Mom & I decided to do double duty with our May Challenge theme of "Let's Party" and we had some fun putting together decorations for our Scrapbook & Cards Fiesta last weekend!
Each guest got a kraft bag full of goodies, decorarted with colourful tissue paper and a 'fiesta' themed tag (from We R Memory Keepers) tied with ribbon. We die cut triangles to form a paper pennant banner that hung from the ceiling, as well as our food table and Mom even made decorative labels for our water bottles (sorry, no close up shot here!). It certainly added to the party atmosphere! I'll try to be back soon with a few photos from the actual event :)

Thanks to all who came to the Fiesta- we collected 157 pairs of socks for Japan (the basket you see above was overflowing!) and money raised in our 50/50 draw & donated from Champagne Day Spa chair massages covered the shipping costs (we sent 4 boxes which cost about $25 each to send). We'll also be donating $100 to the Red Cross to support Relief efforts which are continuing in Japan.

Special thanks to other local businesses who supported our event and fundraising efforts:
  • Red Tomato Pies
  • Canadian Tire
  • California Sushi
  • ReMax
We wouldn't have had such a fantastic event without their help and yours! We're already looking forward to next year, pencil it in on your calendar for the first weekend in May ;)

Thanks for all your efforts for the Fiesta, had a ball. Looking forward to next year.
I for one didn't realize there were that many socks. Not bad for a small group.
Thanks again
