Hello Luscious (Basic Grey cards)

Hello Luscious is a cheery collection from Basic Grey that just happens to be the featured line for our April POTM (Page of the Month) class. Here's some cards I made with some of the leftover materials after making my layout! This first card was really simple- the papers I used are the two sides of the same paper- I love this technique for quick cards. Just measure a piece big enough to cover the full card front (I left an 1/8" border all the way around), cut it off center and flip one portion. The "Hello" is from the title stickers in our kit and the faux ribbon border is the 1/2" we trimmed from our paper.

This next card is also heavy on the scraps, with the addition of a sticker and some flowers from my stash with a fun brad which was also extra in our kit. I love how cheery this card is and will probably make a few similar ones with other scraps I have leftover from my projects!

Here's a closer peek at the textures on this card... fun, right?
Both cards were inspired by card layouts in the new Card Maps Today book, which is still available at the store for just $9.95. (The second card is hardly recognizable... but it was inspired, none the less!). We've got one more group of ladies who'll be doing our POTM class today (Saturday) so perhaps I'll get a chance to put together a few more cards after that class ;)
