February 2011 Stamp of the Month

We're excited to be featuring "Heart Bird Keepsake" by Memory Box Stamps as our Stamp of the Month for February! I (Tara) teamed up with another of our Seriously Creative Design Team members, Carla, to create samples for our board this month!
This first card is a fun, shaped design by Carla. I love how the SOTM image, embossed in red, pops above the top edge of this card (which is flat for display purposes), while being tucked into the metal frame, it would look fabulous as an easel card! Hopefully you'll see the details on Carla's creations on her blog soon :)
Carla also made this next card- look at all the fun details! I especially love the bouquet of flowers peeking out from behind the heart, which has been embossed with Distress Embossing Powder (fun texture)!
I (Tara) made the next two cards. This one features the heart stamped onto some grunge paper which has been inked up with shades of red Distress Ink. I then painted on some clear Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint and let it dry before cutting it out. I layered my image over some of the Memory Box papers and finished it off with a Valentine's sentiment, a pearl flourish and a fabulous Prima flower from my stash. This next card is fairly simple, but fun. I stamped my image in Memento ink onto a sticky back canvas ATC by Ranger and coloured the heart with my Copics (I was inspired by Jennifer McGuire's post here). I darkened up the bird with a memento pen and frayed the edges of my canvas before adhering it to a piece of patterned paper (I love that the Memory Box papers are a nice cardstock weight! This brown dot pattern is available in 8.5x11 sheets). Both the plaid paper and the red pearl gems are from Memory Box as well. My scalloped edge was cut with a Tim Holtz on-the-edge border die (love these & use this one all the time!).
... and here's this month's extra perk- one each of 10 different 6x6 patterned papers by Memory Box (1/3 of this paper pack), designed to coordinate perfectly with the Valentine Delights collection, is included with your SOTM!
But wait... there's more! Here's some more great samples we have in the store- this first one is by Carla:

and this next one is on the beautiful sample board by Memory Box designers!
and here's even more fabulous samples from the Memory Box design team you might want to check out- like this gorgeous scrapbook layout, this valentine, and this card with pretty stamped layers!

I hope you enjoyed the eye candy, now I'd like to share a little BLOG CANDY with ya! For some reason, we rarely get comments on our SOTM posts and we'd like to change that (we work hard on these samples for you every month!) so... leave a comment on this post and we'll select one lucky person to win a surprise gift from Creative Accents & Memory Box! If we get more than 14 comments (in honour of Valentine's Day!) within a week, we'll add a $10 gift certificate to that prize! We can't wait to hear what you think of our latest SOTM!
