It's time... for a BLOG HOP & Challenge!

Welcome to the first Creative Accents BLOG HOP! We've put together a fab list of ladies for you to visit and get some inspiration from today!

This blog hop is a kick-off for our July CHALLENGE to create any card, scrapbook layout or paper based project inspired by this image (could be colors, layout, theme...):
Your project should include
- at least 3 colours
- a die cut or punched item
- primarily products available in our store (esp. as the focal point)

The challenge is open for submissions until noon on July 31 (check back for the link gadget if I haven't added it to the end of this post yet) and one random winner will be selected to win this prize on August 3!
Now that you've seen the challenge, let's get started on the BLOG HOP! We're kicking things off with two projects here, cuz both Mom & I had to play along! Here's a double page layout that Mom (Julie) created! She took her inspiration from the colours, layout AND the theme and made this rockin' layout with some pictures I took of my Dad playing his guitar in church one Sunday.
She had fun digging through our embellishment jars for goodies to add & finished it off with a quote cut from... wait for it... the ROCKSTAR font by QuicKutz. Is that perfect, or what?

Next up is my (Tara's) project! I was inspired by the colours and the theme and jumped at the chance to ink up one of my new stamps, "So Jazzed" by Mo Manning (& Stamping Bella). I also finally got to use the papers & ribbon I *love* from the 'About a Girl' collection by Fancy Pants. I coloured her up with Copics (and her little dog, too... love that it's singing along!)

My card is a 5.5" Easel Card- here's what it looks like standing:
Here's a better look at the front of my card (isn't that ribbon yummy? I had to put some of it in both of the prize packages!):
... and here's the inside! I made the sentiment a pocket to hold a tag (for writing a personalized note) and a gift card... for iTunes, of course! The sentiment is another by Stamping Bella- it's a fave Dr. Seuss quote of mine, so I was thrilled to get it in rubbah!
Next up in the BLOG HOP is a lady I am happy to introduce to you as the newest member of our Seriously Creative Design Team, CARLA! Carla is one of our most enthusiastic customers and it's been so cool watching her abilities grow as she creates beautiful cards! Carla has big plans for card making over the next bit while she's on holidays, so you'll definitely want to be frequenting her blog to see what she's been up to! BUT Before you go see her creation, I've got a couple more things to add...

Because we LOVE feedback (and I'm not afraid to say I'd love to see some more followers on this here blog... I know it's a "store" blog, but to me it's very personal!) we're offering a reward to one lucky person who comments on one of the blogs along the hop... you'll improve your chances by commenting on each blog along the way, because you never know which blog will be the one we randomly choose a winner from... (and if you're following the blogs, you'll probably hear about the winner sooner!). The winner will be announced on Friday!
Lastly, if you get lost along the way somehow... here's a list of the ladies participating in our blog hop:
1. Me (Tara) & Mom
2. Carla
3. Sarah
4. Teila
5.
Tanya
6. Cheri
7. Chris
8. Eulanda

Remember to show your love for all the inspiration by posting COMMENTS (and maybe even becoming a follower!) on each blog along the way! Have FUN & enjoy the inspiration!

Still here? Hurry & hop on over to see CARLA!
