Impression Obsession

Have you check out Impression Obsession lately? They have unique and beautiful rubber stamps-- now available in THREE formats-- wood mounted (individual stamps & cubes), clear & red rubber with cling foam (stamp sets). We're placing an order with them next week and are offering YOU a great deal if you'd like to pre-order! If you e-mail us your order by Monday evening (Oct.1) we'll give you your stamps at the US retail price (+10% to cover shipping/brokerage fees) instead of our regular Canadian retail price! This is a fantastic deal, which I'm sure you'll want to take advantage of! There are tons of great images and stamp sets. Happy Shopping!

Now a question... if you have an opinion, please post a comment here for me! I'm selecting our Nov. SOTM-- would you prefer a whimsical Christmas stamp (wood mounted) or a 'basic (for all occassions)' cling mounted stamp set? I love them both & can't decide!

Autumn Days

Autumn is definitely here (though not 'officially' until Sunday!) and I wanted to share some autumn inspiration... here's a layout Rena brought in using the new Mellow papers by Basic Grey. I love the stitching details she added with rhinestones to mimic the branch pattern in the papers. The card is one I made with the Watercolor stamps by Art Impressions (the set used in our class on Wednesday night). We will be having the class again in October, so there is still room to sign up if you'd like to learn this fabulous technique!

Stamping Sistah's Bella Party!

Last night was our first Stamping Sistah's Bella Party, and a great time was had by all! We started the night with a 30 minute challenge-- each of us had a pre-stamped image of Stamping Bella, a sheet of sketches to get inspiration from (if needed) and a variety of patterned paper & embellishments at our disposal. All 10 of us managed to complete a card in 30 minutes (more or less) and these cards are the result! It was so cool to see 10 completely different cards with the same image!
Here's a variety of cards from last night-- I wish I'd thought about taking photos of cards last night before they all went home with everyone! We had a great time and I hope you'll enjoy these cards!

Subscribe & Save

Many of you have enjoyed picking up fabulous idea books from Scrapbook Trends & CARDS magazine in our store recently. We have noticed, however, that the subscription rate for both these magazines is significantly lower than the cost which we are charged as a business! Because of this, we have decided not to carry these magazines in our store any longer on a regular basis. While our current inventory lasts, you can pick up any Scrapbook Trends or CARDS magazines for the US cover price. If you have enjoyed the inspiration from these idea books, we'd like to recommend that you consider a subscription to one of these magazines (there's no benefit to us!) right now when there is an excellent SPECIAL sale right now-- subscribe to any magazine (12 issues) and get 6 issues of another magazine for FREE!

September SOTM

Our SOTM this month is this pair of whimsical trees by Stampendous. I have a few more ideas for this image floating around, so I'm hoping to get a chance to play with it some more in the next few days! I'd LOVE to hear from any of you who do something creative with this stamp too, we love seeing samples!

Sneak Peek...

Before I take off for the long weekend, I thought I'd post a sneak peek for ya... this card features paper from our Autumn Scrap & Card Kit AND the new Stamp of the Month for September! (It also uses the QuicKutz Lemonade alphabet... aint it cute?). Full details on both will be out next week... (there will be a delay in the SOTM for many of you as they weren't all shipped-- sorry! It's worth the wait for this funky pair of trees, though!) Have an awesome long weekend!

I'm a Friend of Pagemaps!

September Page Maps are up NOW as well as their quarterly release of Card Maps, which yours truly is featured on this month! Here's my cards as they appear on the website, along with the sketches I used. There is a great collection of 21 CardMaps this time around as well as PageMaps in 12x12 & 8.5x11. I can't tell you how much I LOVE this tool, I always pull out my Maps duotang or sketches books when I'm feeling a creative block, it's so nice to have a pattern to follow because it frees me to be creative with my papers and embellishments without having to figure out where they might look the best! When Becky sent me the sketches, she asked me to stick to a 5x7 size card, which is actually not a size I work with very often! I had fun with it though and ended up creating 3 cards from each sketch! Here's the other 2 cards I created with each sketch-- you can see them all in person if you stop by the store!
